LAVERNE and LUCY bring side-splitting comedy, lively music and laugh-out-loud improvisation to their audiences. Their engaging repertoire is a mix of fun-time rock and roll, bluegrass, novelties and more. Each high-energy show takes their audiences on an enlivening jaunt, sharing skits, audience involvement, new comedy ditties as well as everyone’s favorite songs. These two talented women have been on the professional stage since their teens and their experience and love of entertaining shines through each production. Although created for adult audiences, LAVERNE and LUCY’s witty and winsome repartee is good, clean fun for all ages. The Muppets perform the classic Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine). Other Muppets, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie Bear and Sam the Eagle, weave in and out of the story, while Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases, past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.

The Sheldon Theatre Brass Band was founded in 1989

as the resident performing ensemble at the newly restored, turn of the century T. B. Sheldon Theatre in Red Wing, Minnesota. We use the instrumentation of the traditional British Brass Band and play a broad variety of musical styles including original pieces for brass and percussion, marches, orchestral transcriptions, and unique arrangements for brass.

The Minnesota Mini-Nutcracker is a delightful, abridged version of Twin Cities Ballet’s beloved holiday classic, A Minnesota Nutcracker. This enchanting performance maintains the timeless story, soaring Tchaikovsky score, uniquely Minnesota twist, and festive magic of the full-length production, but is designed especially for young audiences and families.

A South Metro tradition since 2003 and named one of MPR’s “Twelve Essential Holiday Events.”

Join Clara on her magical journey through iconic Minnesota landmarks and whimsical characters—from the Golden Horses of the State Capitol, to Minnesota’s Cascading Waters, Vikings, Loons, and the state flower, the Ladyslipper.

The Mini-Nutcracker runs just over an hour and is performed by talented cast members from the full-length production. It’s the perfect holiday mini-treat—accessible, joyful, and sure to delight theatregoers of all ages!

Original music and rollicking humor give new life to the classic tale by Rudyard Kipling.

Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, found a bride. Princesses come from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none can pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen. One day a “shy” swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, shows up, and all fingers are crossed that she can pass a sensitivity test. Join us for Red Wing High School’s rendition of this hilarious version of The Princess and the Pea.
